Gargilius, Ogulnius, and Vergilius, 86 BC. Denarius (Silver, 20 mm, 3.57 g, 9 h), Rome. Head of Apollo to right, wearing oak wreath; below, thunderbolt. Rev. GAR / OGVL / VER Jupiter in galloping quadriga to right, hurling thunderbolt in his right hand and reins in his left. Babelon (Gargilia) 1, (Ogulnia) 5 and (Vergilia) 3. Crawford 350A/1a. RBW 1329. Sydenham 721. The obverse struck somewhat off center and with a minor graffito, otherwise, nearly very fine.
